TREASURE ISLAND SCREENWRITER POSITION

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Screenwriter position for the Feature film "Treasure Island". This film is being produced by New Vision Media Group, LLC in Co-Production with Firestorm Entertainment. The story of "Treasure Island" is somewhat based on the book "Treasure Island", although a majority of the story will be original. The story is Family / Fantasy.

REQUIREMENTS:

You must have written at least 1 feature length screenplay.
We Prefere (but not require) that you have experiance in writting in the Family/Fantasy genre of films.
Experiance in Book Adaption is helpful, as this job will require you to adapt part of a book into a screenplay.
You must be able to work under preasure and under deadlines.
You must be available to work on the screenplay FULL-TIME. This is not a Part-time possition.
You must attend "online" production updates with the Producers and/or Director of the film at least 2 times a week. You must also be willing to send us copies of your screenplay at any time, no matter what stage the screenplay is in.
You will have NO ownership of the screenplay in which you will be writing (This will be explained more in the Writer Contact).
Under your contract, you will be tied to the project all the way through filming, which means that we may request unlimited re-writes, unlimited corrections, etc from you all the way through production. You will be expected to complete these in a timely manor.
You will have to work closly with the Films Director to make sure that his vision is seen throughout the script. He has the right to request as many re-writes of the script as he wishes.

New Vision Media Group LLC is a small film Production & Distribution company located in Bloomington, Indiana USA.

PAYMENT:

Payment is on a defered basis. This means that you will receive no upfront compensation until we have secured funding for the film, at which point you will receive no less than $800.00 to secure you throughout the production process. When the film is complete you will receive no less than 3% of our profits from the film.
